A letter from Dr. Karen Bloch
Hello from Bloch Wellness and Sports Medicine,
I sincerely hope you are staying safe and healthy. I know that it’s been a stressful time for all of us, and we can’t wait to return to a life that feels more normal and familiar. For me personally, I am keeping my family and friends close and focusing on finding anything positive that comes my way during these trying times.
As I reflect on what we at Bloch Wellness and Sports Medicine can do to help you, our patients, I want to share that we are committed to continuing our tradition of offering new, innovative, world-class treatments and services to help you with pain management and prevention, as well as improving your overall well-being.
As part of that commitment, we have:
- Extended our office hours to accommodate early morning and early evening requests.
- Added two new doctors and one new massage therapist with exceptional experience and unique approaches to build on our Bloch mission and philosophy.
- Dr. Joshua Beltran is a graduate of Life West College and has expertise in soft tissue work and full-body rehabilitation.
- Dr. Andrew Winthrop is a graduate of Palmer College and has a strong background in extremity adjustments and a full-body approach to optimal health and performance.
- Hannah Vega is a massage therapist who specializes in reducing neck pain and increasing mobility, reducing sciatic nerve pain, and deep tissue work. We offer massage therapy Monday-Saturday (and Hannah’s days are M-W-F-S).
- Enhanced our services with our new MLS Laser. This laser therapy is quickly becoming the standard of care in alleviating both acute and chronic pain. This patented, FDA-cleared technology has an 85% – 90% efficacy rate in relieving pain and inflammation, eliminates risk from surgery and prescription pain killers, has no negative side effects, and restores patients’ lives. The Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Cavaliers are using this technology.
- Expanded our BrainMaster services to offer leading-edge mental health modalities.
- Expanded our Kinetisense services to enhance your daily life.
What I have learned during the pandemic:
- Our team approach worked. Working within a limited schedule because of government closures meant offering treatment and pain relief by all of our doctors. Having a variety of different doctors was pivotal in our ability to navigate through the pandemic and allowed our patients to experience a variety of approaches and techniques because each of our physicians has something unique to offer.
- There are new treatments and modalities out there, and we find the best of the best. Bloch Wellness and Sports Medicine is at the forefront of cutting-edge treatments and modalities, looking at the mind and body as a whole. We are one of the few who offer BrainMaster to brain map and address mental health. In addition to launching our new MLS Laser, we continue to offer our HBOT with Neurostim, Cryosauna, Shockwave, Bemer, and the optigate and 4wittysem, which will track proper gait mechanics, increasing agility speed and performance. This technology is being used on the East Coast by many major league baseball teams, and Bloch Wellness is one of the first to have this technology on the West Coast.
- A variety of modalities is invaluable. Our “secret sauce” at Bloch is providing a variety of effective modalities so that every patient experiences relief. We are fully committed to helping you and your family achieve optimal health, wellness, and performance.
On behalf of the entire Bloch Wellness and Sports Medicine team, we wish you good health and happiness. We are always here for you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Karen Bloch
