Cupping is a type of alternative medicine intended to ease muscle pain, enhance circulation, remove toxins, provide pain relief, and clear inflammation. Cupping works with helping improve both the muscular system as well as the lymphatic system. Cupping therapy can affect the muscular system in different ways which include; improved blood circulation, muscle relaxation, neural modulation, and body temperature regulation. Cupping may also encourage lymphatic drainage, movement, support the immune system, and reduce localized edema. There are several different cupping techniques that may have different effects which includes flash cupping, stationary cupping, dynamic movement cupping, positional release cupping, passive and active range of motion with cupping.
